The Biermans-Lapôtre Foundation, Maison des Etudiants Belges et Luxembourgeois at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, has hosted more than 500 students, researchers and professors from all walks of life every year since 1926.

Since its creation, nearly 25,000 students have stayed at the Foundation. It also hosts academic, scientific or cultural activities organized by Belgian, French and Luxembourg universities by or for its own residents.

Created thanks to a donation from the couple Jean-Hubert Biermans - Berthe Lapôtre, the Foundation is the fruit of exemplary cooperation between Belgium, Luxembourg and France. The Foundation, which is financially supported by the Belgian Federal Public Service "Science Policy" and the Luxembourg Ministry of Higher Education and Research, wants to be the meeting point and showcase of Belgian and Luxembourg higher education and research in Paris.

Finally, the Foundation offers scholarships, for a maximum duration of one to three months, to students with artistic or scientific projects.

In addition, I would like to inform you that since 2010-2011, the Biermans-Lapôtre Foundation has implemented a system of reduced fees for new Belgian and Luxembourg admissions. This reduction of 100 euros per month is granted on the basis of income.

Finally, the Foundation is administered by a Board of Directors chaired by H.E. the Ambassador of Belgium in France, as well as Belgian, Luxembourg and French representatives. It is headed by a director, an assistant director and a team of five people at the service of the Foundation.
